Yoga Family is a community-focused yoga studio located in Almaden valley, Almaden Lake neighborhoods. Our goal is to make yoga available and accessible to all people who could benefit from it, not just those with a high level of fitness or flexibility. 

We focus on yoga as a way to serve an individual's unique physical condition and lifestyle, No matter your age, ability, injury, size or condition, we modify postures as required to encourage students to develop a deeper awareness and steadiness in the classic postures.  not as a means of achieving the "perfect" body or posture. At Yoga Family, you'll find a place to unwind, an opportunity to develop your mind and body, and a community of support for healing a growth.

Jing Guan, the first known woman to perform a headstand on the summit of Mount Everest, conquered the mountain through years of dedicated breathwork and yoga practice. As the owner of Yoga Family, she is an internationally trained yoga instructor certified in both China and the United States by the American Yoga Alliance. She is also a registered personal trainer with the American Sports Medicine Association (NASM) and has completed advanced training in Hatha yoga and therapy yoga. In 2014, she became a full-time registered yoga teacher with the American Yoga Alliance in 2016. In 2017, she expanded her expertise by becoming a certified aerial yoga instructor. Jing continually deepens her practice by traveling and learning from yoga teachers and peers worldwide. Dedicated to promoting physical and mental balance, she spent two years volunteering to spread the benefits of yoga.

What I Do

I teach yoga to people who want to feel good—because when we feel better, we show up better for ourselves, for others, and for the world. I truly believe that movement is medicine, and yoga, when practiced with awareness, can be a profound tool for healing and transformation.

My journey began with Hatha Yoga, my first doorway into the vast and beautiful Yoga Family. For the past four years, I have shared its wisdom, guiding students through breath, movement, and stillness. But as my understanding of the mind-body connection deepened, I found myself drawn toward a more therapeutic approach, one that honors how yoga feels, not just how it looks.

I don’t focus on achieving perfect postures or bending into impossible shapes. Instead, I focus on why we move, how we breathe, and what each practice can unlock within us. Yoga is an invitation—a way to listen to the body, to create space, to soften and strengthen all at once. And I believe it can help anyone who is willing to commit to the practice. My role is simply to guide, to adapt, and to shape the journey in a way that best serves you.

How I Teach

At my core, I am a student first. And my greatest joy is sharing what I learn with others.

But where does the magic truly happen? In one-on-one practice.

Private sessions allow us to go beyond the surface—to explore not just how you move, but why you feel what you feel. Together, we uncover patterns, listen to the wisdom of the body, and create a practice that nurtures your unique structure, needs, and energy.

Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the very first time or you’ve been practicing for years, if you feel even the slightest pull to explore deeper, I’d love to take that journey with you.
